About Emily
Emily is a Solicitor practicing in our Family Law Team. She has practiced solely in the areas of Family Law and Domestic Violence since joining the firm. Known for her approachable manner, clear communication and attention to detail, Emily is committed to achieving practical outcomes that are tailored to her clients’ individual circumstances.
Emily understands that every family law matter is unique and recognises the significant impact separation and conflict can have on individuals and families. She adopts a compassionate and pragmatic approach, taking the time to understand her clients’ circumstances and objectives while providing practical guidance throughout the legal process.
Since joining the Family Law Team, Emily has gained experience across a broad range of family law matters, including:
- Property settlements through consent orders or financial agreements
- Domestic and family violence matters in the Magistrates Court of Queensland
- Divorce matters including sole and joint applications
- Attendance at mediations for parenting and/or property matters
- Parenting disputes involving allegations of family violence, drug use, and other risk concerns
- Recovery applications where children have been removed from a parent’s care, including cross jurisdictional matters
- Preparation of court documents and case management in Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Magistrates Court of Queensland
Prior to joining Robbins Watson, Emily gained experience in criminal, corporate, and commercial litigation before finding her passion in family and domestic violence law. Emily is committed to helping clients navigate family law disputes with confidence and works towards achieving timely, commercially sensible and client-focused outcomes wherever possible.

- Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (Griffith University)
- Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP)
- Admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland
- Admitted to the High Court of Australia
